footytips.com.au joins ESPN

The footytips team have been working hard for 12 years to bring you the best footy tipping service on the web - and more recently your mobile phone.

It turns out, all the hard work has not gone unnoticed.

Today, we’re proud to share with you that this small team of passionate sports fans is now part of ESPN - the world’s largest sports media company. That means footytips join a team that has other great sites like ESPNcricinfo and ESPNsoccernet, two HD TV channels (ESPN HD, ESPN2 HD) and a broadband channel (ESPN3.com) in Australia already.

Rest assured, it’s business as usual for us -- with the exception of committed ongoing resources from a company that shares our passion for sport and great digital products. Our focus will continue to be simple: deliver the best site for your footy tipping.

There will be no changes to your existing login system or any other aspects of your tipping competition.

This deal ensures footytips.com.au a very bright future.

Thanks again and good luck tipping!

- The team from footytips.com.au

Quite disapointing, Cricinfo is just not the same now its not Wisden, hopefully the URL doesn't change to espnfootytips.com.au, the logo is bad enough!

Maybe change the URL to ESPNFT.com. Much short and easy to remember.

Don't change anything. footytips.com.au rocks as it is. Just quietly, how much did ESPN pay for footytips? Come on, tell us.
